The first spot in the semifinals at the 2014 World Cup was sealed by the team that has become a regular in the final foursome: Germany

Germany defeated France 1-0 at Estadio do Maracana on Friday to become the first team ever to reach four straight World Cup semifinals. Germany's semifinal streak includes a defeat to Brazil in the final in 2002 and a pair of wins in the third-place game in 2006 and 2010.
