10 Arguments That Prove We All Get A Little Crazy In Love

If you've been in a relationship long enough, you've gotten into overblown, drawn-out arguments over completely ridiculous things: You've had it up to here with the bobby pins she leaves scattered around the house -- or you can't believe he has the gall to spoil major plot points from "Game of Thrones" almost every week. (So what if you've read the books -- keep it to yourself!)

The arguments may be super serious and full of death stares in the moment, but they're hilarious to retell later on. We've got Reddit for proof of that. On Friday, Redditors shared the most ridiculous, small potatoes argument they've ever gotten into with a S.O.

Ferguson Protesters Have Some Demands (VIDEO)

ST. LOUIS -- Three men who said they've been involved with protests in Ferguson since the beginning unveiled a list of demands at a press conference on Friday, calling for immediate Department of Justice intervention and an end to "militarized policing."

Rapper Tef Poe, St. Louis activist Taurean Russell and Kansas City resident Jeffery Hill Jr. said they've been in Ferguson since Aug. 9, the day Michael Brown was shot to death by police Officer Darren Wilson. Although days of violent clashes between police and protestors have given way to two relatively calm nights of protest, Poe and Russell said anger is not diminishing.

James Gandolfini's Final Movie Is A Disappointment

If "The Drop" didn't contain James Gandolfini's last screen performance, it might have gone directly to DVD. That's how old fashioned so much of this movie feels. Written by Dennis Lehane ("Mystic River," "Gone Baby Gone") and directed by Michaël R. Roskam, "The Drop" -- previously called "Animal Rescue," the title of Lehane's source short story -- is as generic as all those thrillers Cinemax used to play on Friday night. Your dad fell asleep watching "The Drop" in 1998.

Yet the film, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday, is not without some charms. Tom Hardy, who plays the lead character, Bob, a laconic bartender, acts like some combination of Frankenstein, Ryan Gosling and Jake LaMotta. Hardy's entire performance is pitched toward a tone of bemusement that recalls the time Liev Schreiber said hello to a jar of cookies in "Walking and Talking." To wit: Hardy plays with a dog in "The Drop," which will make future GIF makers quite happy and should keep Tumblr in business for another year.

Obama To Meet Congressional Leaders On ISIS: Source

WASHINGTON, Sept 5 (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama will meet with the four leaders of the U.S. Congress on Tuesday, a senior congressional source said on Friday, amid rising concern in Washington about the advances of the Islamic State.

The source told Reuters the meeting would take place at 3:15 p.m. EDT (1915 GMT). Lawmakers return to Washington on Monday from their five-week August recess.

The meeting will include Harry Reid, the Democratic leader of the U.S. Senate, and Mitch McConnell, the chamber's top Republican, as well as John Boehner, the speaker of the House of Representatives and Nancy Pelosi, the House's top Democrat.

The topic of the meeting was not disclosed, but it is expected to focus on the threat posed by the Sunni militants.

Lawmakers from both parties have been calling on Obama to detail his plans for going after the group, which has seized swathes of Iraq and Syria and provoked outrage by releasing videos showing the gruesome beheadings of two American journalists.

Some have criticized the president for failing to present a strategy both to both Congress and the American public.

Obama said at a NATO summit on Friday that NATO allies stood ready to join the United States in military action to defeat Islamic State militants in Iraq as he vowed to 'take out' the leaders of a movement he said was a major threat to the West.

The meeting with the Congressional leadership was first reported by the Washington Post.

Seven NATO Allies Will Reportedly Create New Rapid Reaction Force

BRUSSELS, Aug 29 (Reuters) - Seven NATO allies plan to create a new rapid reaction force of at least 10,000 soldiers as part of plans to boost NATO defenses in response to Russia's intervention in Ukraine, the Financial Times reported on Friday.

The aim is to create a division-sized joint expeditionary force for rapid deployment and regular exercises. The British-led force would include air and naval units as well as ground troops, the newspaper said.

Countries involved include Denmark, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Norway and the Netherlands. Canada has also expressed an interest in taking part, it said.

British Prime Minister David Cameron is expected to announce the creation of the force next week, coinciding with the Sept. 4-5 NATO summit in Wales.

Since Russia annexed Ukraine's Crimea region in March, NATO members have taken a number of short-term steps to reinforce the security of allies in eastern Europe that are worried by Russia's new assertiveness.

At the Wales summit next week, U.S. President Barack Obama and other NATO leaders are expected to agree on a longer-term plan for boosting NATO's eastern defenses.

One element of the plan will be shaking up NATO's existing rapid reaction force so that some units of it are capable of responding to a crisis in a few days, NATO diplomats say. (Reporting by Adrian Croft; Editing by Tom Heneghan)

Early Color Photographs Give Glimpse Into The Russia Of Yesterday

Russia is a country that spans two continents and nine time zones, and serves as home to over 140 million inhabitants and over 190 different ethnic groups. Rich in land and people, the massive nation has endured wars, economic collapse and authoritarian rule over the last 100 years alone, all the while cultivating some of the world's brightest cultural figures -- Wassily Kandinsky, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, Andrei Sakharov.

Needless to say, Russian history is a past worth documenting. And "Primrose: Early Colour Photography in Russia," is a historical exhibition worth visiting.
